An Ordinance to amend the Roads and Public Places Ordinance 1937
Short title
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Roads and Public Places
(Amendment) Ordinance 1983}
Commencement
2. This Ordinance shall come into operation on such date as is fixed by the Minister of State for Territories and Local Government by notice in the Gazette.

Principal Ordinance
3. In this Ordinance, "Principal Ordinance" means the Roads and Public
Places Ordinance 1937 }
Permission to place culverts, &c, across, and to interfere with the surfaces of, public places
4. Section 9 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—
(a)
by omitting from sub-section (1) "prescribed fee" and substituting "fee determined under section 9A for the purposes of this sub-section"; and
(b)
by omitting from sub-section (2) "prescribed fee" and substituting "fee referred to in sub-section (1)".
5. After section 9 of the Principal Ordinance the following section is
52 Roads and Public Places (Amendment) No. 15,1983 Power of Minister to determine fees
"9A. The Minister may, by notice in writing published in the Gazette,
determine fees for the purposes of this Ordinance.".
