1999 No 29—Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Roads Amendment (Transitways) Act 1999, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 December 1999 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence Schedule 1 [4], [5] and [6] to the Roads Amendment (Transitways) Act 1999. These provisions make amendments to the Roads Act 1993 that are consequential on the replacement of the Traffic Act 1909 by the Road Transport (General) Act 1999 and the other road transport legislation referred to in that Act.
