ROADS ACT 1993—REGULATION

(Relating to the adoption of the mass limits of the National Standards

relating to axle spacing)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Roads Act 1993, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 6 October 1995.

Amendment to the Roads (Weight of Loads on Main Roads)

Transitional Regulation 1993

2. The Roads (Weight of Loads on Main Roads) Transitional

Regulation 1993 is amended:

(a)

by omitting from clause 7 (1A) (b) the matter “38 tonnes” and by inserting instead the matter “42.5 tonnes”;

(b)

by omitting the Table to clause 7 ( 1A) and by inserting instead the following Table:

Transitional Regulation 1993 is mended:

(a)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of these amendments to the transitional Regulations under the Roads Act 1993 is to allow the early implementation of the National Mass and Loading Standards.

This Regulation is made under the Roads Act 1993 and, in particular, section 264

(Regulations).
