ROADS ACT 1993—REGULATION
(Relating to bush fire brigades)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Roads Act 1993, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Amendment of Roads (Weight of Loads on Main Roads) Transitional
Regulation 1993
1. The Roads (Weight of Loads on Main Roads) Transitional Regulation 1993 is amended by inserting in clause 16 after the word “Brigades” the words “or under the Bush Fires Act 1949”.

Roads) Transitional Regulation 1993
2. The Roads (Weight of Loads on Roads other than Main Roads)
Transitional Regulation 1993 is amended by inserting in clause 17 after
the word “Brigades” the words “or under the Bush Fires Act 1949”.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to give bush fire brigade vehicles the same exemption as currently applies to other fire brigade vehicles from loading restrictions on public roads.
This Regulation is made under sections 108 (Regulations may impose weight
restrictions) and 264 (1) (the general regulation-making power) of the Roads Act 1993.
