(Increasing the level of penalties imposed by penalty notices issued under section

243 of the Roads Act 1993)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Roads Act 1993, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 July 1995.

Amendment

2. The Roads (General) Regulation 1994 is amended by omitting

Schedule 2 and by inserting instead the following Schedule:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to increase certain penalties imposed by penalty notices issued under section 243 of the Roads Act 1993 for contraventions of certain provisions under the Roads (General) Regulation 1994.

This Regulation is made under the Roads Act 1993, including section 264 (the

general regulation making power).
