HEREAS it is expedient to include ir, one Act the whole of Preamble.

the Main Lines of Roads in the Province of South Australia-

BC it therefore Enacted, by the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative

Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present

Parliament assembled as follows:

1. From and after the commencement of this Act, " An Act	TTict., No. 120f 1866-6,

the making and improving of Roads in South Australia," "An Act (No. 1 2 of 1856-6) to amend An Ordinance, No. 13 of 1851, for the declaring of Main Lines of Roads in South Australia," and '' An Act (No. 20 of 1855-6) further to amend An Ordinance, No. 13 of 1851, for the declaring of Main Lines of Roads in South Australia, " shall be and the same are hereby repealed.
2. The lines of roads set forth in the Schedule hereunto annexed, shall be and are hereby declared to be the Main Roads of the said Province, for the purposes of all Acts relating to or affecting the Main Roads of the Province aforesaid.	Main Lines of Roads.

3. This Act shall take effect from the day of proclamation in the :;menarnent

Gazette of assent having been given thereto.

4. This Act may be cited as The Main Roads Act of 1860." short title.

f. North Road-From RaiIwap Station, Kapunda, to Kooringa, and to a poiink

one mile north of Redruth Bridge.

2. North Road (North- Western BrancA).-From Railway Station, Kapunda, by

Forrester's, to northern boundary of Hundred of Clare.

3. North Road fNorth-Eastern Branch).-From Railway Station, Freeling, to

Blanchetown, vid Greenock and Truro.

4. Lyndoch Valley Road.-From Railway Station, Gawler, to South Para Bridge;

and from east boundary of Municipality of G'awler, vid Lyndoch Valley and Tanunda,

to join Blanchetown Road, at or near Nuriootpa,

5. Angaston Branch.-From near Nuriootpa, on the north-eastern branch of the

North Road, through Angaston to North Rhine River.

6. 2Cfomt Cmwvford Branch.-From nezr Sandy Creek and Lyndoch Valley Road,

by Mount Crawford, South Rhinc, and h r o ~ n t	Pleasant, to join Main North-Eastern
Road near Stony Creek.

7. Virginia Bridge Road.-From Railway Station, Salisbury, by Virginia Bridge,

to the River Light.

8. North-Baskrn Road.-From Adclaidc to the Rivcr Murray, vid Tea-tree Gully,

Gumeracka, and Stony Creek.

9. South Branch.-From Adehide, on south side of the River Torrens, by Mac-

Donnell Bridge, to join the Main North-Eastern Road at Inglewood.

10. Main Eastern Road-From Adelaide, vid klictgill, Lobethal, and Mount Tor-

renu, till it joins the Main Road from Stony Creek tu the River Murray.

11. Xmithjield Branch.-.From Railway Station, Smithfit??d, by Chain of Ponds, to

join No. 8, North-Eastern Road.

12. South-Eastern Roksd-From Adelaide to a point one mile on the eastern side

of the River Murray, v:d Glen Osmond, Crafers, Echunga, Macclesficld, Strathalbyn,

Langhorne's Bridge, m d Wellington; with a branch to Milang.

13. Nairne Branch.-From a point on the South-Eastern Road, near the thirteenth

mile-post, to the River Murray, vid Habndorf, Little Hempton, Blakiston, Nairne,

and Scott'a Creek.

14. Mound Barfce~ Branch.-From a point near the twenty-first mile-post, on Nairne

Branch, to the Rwmer, vid Mount Barker and Bugle Ranges.

15. Woodside Branch.-Fmm junction near sixtce~kth mile-post on Nairnc Branch,

uid B Jhannah, Oakbank, and Woodside, to join Main North-Eastern Eoad.

16. GZenelj Road.-From	Adelaide to eastern bounday of Glenelg Municipality
17. Xouth Road.-From	Black Forest Inn, Glenelg Road, to Cape Jarvis, vid

Mudge's Corner, and through or by Noarlunga, Aldinga Plains, Grant's Corner, and

Yankalilla.

18. W-iEZzcnga Branch.-From junction near Moarlunga to Willunga, and thence by

way of the Cut Hill and Hindmarsh Valley to Port Elliot.

19. Eacounter Bay Branch.-From junctiun with S o ~ t h Road, near Yankalilla, to

Victsr H a ~ b o r and Port Elliot.

20. RulZ's Creek Road.-From Adelaide to Gloolwa, vid Unley, Clarendon,

Meadows, and Bull's Creek.

21. Strathalby,yrr Branch.-From Strathalbyn to junction with Bull's Creek Road,

near the Finniss.

22. JIappy Talley Branch.-From near Clarendon to junction with South Road,

near Tapley's Hill.

23. Port Road.-From Adelaide to the south-eastern boundary of Port Adelaide

Municipality,

24. L17mre's Pesinsuka Road-From the western boundary of Port Adelaide

Municipality to the Semaphore Jetty.
