Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Road Transport (Vehicle Registration) Act 1997.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Road Transport (Vehicle Registration)
Regulation 2007:
| (a) | to increase the registration fees and renewal of registration fees payable under the Road Transport (Vehicle Registration) Act 1997 for motor vehicles and trailers, and |
| (b) | to increase certain fees payable for services provided by the Roads and Traffic Authority under that Act, and |
| (c) | to omit the fees for premium number-plates in specially styled aluminium as a consequence of the number-plates having been phased out. |
The fee increases are generally in line with movements in the Consumer Price Index. sections 14 (the general regulation-making power) and 15 (2) (b) and (f).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Road Transport (Vehicle Registration)
Amendment (Fees) Regulation 2009.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 1 July 2009 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.
