Road Transport (General) Act 1999

  1. Commencement

    These regulations commence on 1 March 2001.

  2. Regulations amended

    These regulations amend the Road Transport (Third-Party Insurance) Regulations 2000.

  3. New regulation 11A

    insert

11AMaximum premiums for late renewal

  1. This regulation applies to a third-party policy for a vehicle if the registration of the vehicle has expired and the third-party policy is needed for a renewal of the registration.

  2. Despite regulation 11, the maximum premium that may be charged for the third-party policy is the maximum premium that could have been charged under regulation 11 for the policy if the policy had been renewed before the registration of the vehicle expired.

  3. This regulation does not apply to the renewal of a seasonal vehicle.
