AN ACT to authorise the Western Australian Trans- port Board to grant subsidies for road transport and for the provision of landing grounds for air- craft from the Transport Co-ordination Fund con- stituted under Section fifty-nine of the State Transport Co-ordination Act, 1933.

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in tins present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

(a) From the proceeds of license fees received in re- spect of omnibuses, such sums as in the opinion of the Board are necessary or expedient in the interests of public transport to be granted in aid of any transport carried on by the holder of a license for any public vehicle as defined in the said Act and which is engaged in road trans- port.

(b)

From the proceeds of license fees received in re- spect of commercial goods vehicles, such sums as in the opinion of the Board are necessary or expedient in the interests of public transport to be granted in aid of any transport carried on by the bolder of a license for any public vehicle as defined in the said Act and which is engaged in road transport.

(c)

From the proceeds of license fees received in re- spect of aircraft, such sums as in the opinion of the Board are necessary or expedient in the interests of air navigation to be granted in aid of the provision of landing grounds for air- craft.

On the granting of- any such subsidy the Board may impose such conditions as it may think fit on the holder of the license to whom the subsidy is granted, or on the owner of the landing ground in respect of which the subsidy is granted.

(2)

Subject to the prior payment of administration costs and to the deduction of any sums granted by the Board under this Act, the Transport Co-ordination Fund shall be administered and distributed according to the provisions of subsection (2) of section fifty-nine of the State Transport Co-ordination Act, 1933.
