Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe tracked vehicles (such as bulldozers and tractors) and vehicles on runners inside endless tracks as vehicles within the meaning of the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999. The Act currently only applies to vehicles on wheels.
This Regulation is made under the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999, including the definition of vehicle in clause 1 of the Dictionary and section 71 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic
Management) Amendment (Tracked Vehicles) Regulation 2011.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Regulation 1999
Clause 154
Insert before clause 155:
154 Meaning of “vehicle”
For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of vehicle in clause 1 of the Dictionary to the Act, any description of tracked vehicle (such as a bulldozer), or any description of vehicle that moves on revolving runners inside endless tracks, that is not used exclusively on a railway or tramway is prescribed.
