Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Regulation 1999 to increase from $166 to $169 the tow-away charge for the removal of unattended motor vehicles or trailers. The tow-away charge increase is generally in line with movements in the Consumer Price Index.

This Regulation is made under the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999, including sections 71 (the general regulation-making power) and 76 (5) and clauses 4 and 9 of Schedule 1.

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic
Management) Amendment (Tow-away Charge) Regulation 2010.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 2010 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Regulation 1999

Clause 155 Removal of unattended vehicles: section 76

Omit “$166” from clause 155 (2). Insert instead “$169”.
