Revision) Regulation 2008

Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend various Acts and Regulations to update certain references that will become incorrect as a result of the consolidation of the road rules applicable in New South Wales in the Road Rules 2008 and the renaming of the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) (Road Rules) Regulation 1999 as the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Regulation 1999.

This Regulation is made under the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999, including section 71 (the general regulation-making power) and clause 10 of Schedule 1.

Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic
Management) Amendment (Law Revision) Regulation 2008.

2      Commencement and repeals

(1) Subject to subclauses (2) and (3), this Regulation commences on 1 July
2008.
(2) Schedule 1.7 commences (and Schedule 1.8 is repealed) on 1 July 2008 if Schedule 1 [5] to the Road Transport (General) Amendment (Written-off Vehicles) Act 2007 commences on or before that day.
(3) Schedule 1.8 commences (and Schedule 1.7 is repealed) on 1 July 2008 if Schedule 1 [5] to the Road Transport (General) Amendment (Written-off Vehicles) Act 2007 does not commence on or before that day.

3      Amendment of Acts and Regulations

The Acts and Regulations specified in Schedule 1 are amended as set out in that Schedule.
