Road Transport (General) Act 1999

1. Name of regulations

   These regulations are the Road Transport (Offences) Amendment Regulations 2004 (No 2).

2. Commencement

   These regulations commence on the day after their notification day.

   NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3. Legislation amended

   These regulations amend the Road Transport (Offences) Regulations 2001.

4. New regulation 14A

   insert

14ADelegation of administering authority’s functions—Act,

s 54 (1) (b)

The administering authority for an infringement notice offence may delegate the authority’s functions to a public employee.
