under the

Road Transport Legislation Amendment (Miscellaneous
Provisions) Act 2009 No 104

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Road Transport Legislation Amendment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 19 April 2010 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Road Transport Legislation Amendment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 relating to novice drivers and the nomination of traffic offenders by responsible persons for vehicles for the purposes of “owner onus” provisions of the Road Transport (General) Act 2005 and the Fines Act 1996.
