Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following

Regulation under the Road Transport Act 2013.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Road Transport (General) Regulation 2013 for the following purposes—

(a)	to update references to the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority to refer to Place Management NSW as a consequence of the statutory name change to that body,
(b)	to expand the area of operations of the Place Management NSW pay parking scheme to include additional streets in the Pyrmont Area,
(c)	to include streets within the Darling Harbour Development Area in the area of operations of the Place Management NSW pay parking scheme,
(d)	to permit enforcement officers employed by Place Management NSW to issue penalty notices relating to certain parking scheme offences committed within the area of operations of Place Management NSW.

This Regulation is made under the Road Transport Act 2013, including sections 23 (the general power to make regulations and rules), 24, 195(1)(a) (regarding penalty notices) and Schedule 1.

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Road Transport (General) Amendment (Place Management
NSW) Regulation 2019.

2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

(b) Liverpool Street (between Harbour Street and Sussex Street).

Omit the definition of Class 8 officer. Insert instead—
Class 8 officer means—

(a) a member of staff of Place Management NSW who is employed as an enforcement officer, or
(b) a person who is subject to the control and direction of Place Management NSW as an enforcement officer.

Insert “8,” before “12” wherever occurring in Column 2 of the matter relating to the Local
Government Act 1993.
