Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Road Transport (General) Act 2005.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to make amendments to the Road Transport (General) Regulation 2005 in relation to penalty notice offences that are consequential on the amendments made to the Road Rules 2008 by the Road Amendment (Miscellaneous) Rules 2012.
This Regulation is made under the Road Transport (General) Act 2005, including sections 10

(the general regulation-making power) and 183.

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Road Transport (General) Amendment
(Miscellaneous) Regulation 2012.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 November 2012 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Road Transport (General) Regulation 2005

(1) Schedule 3 Penalty notice offences

Insert “; Rule 164A” after “Rule 164 (1)” in Column 1 of the matter relating to the Road Rules 2008.

(2) Schedule 3
Omit “Rule 232 (3); Rule 232 (4);” from Column 1 of the matter relating to the Road Rules 2008.
(3) Schedule 3
Insert “Rule 235A;” after “Rule 235;” in Column 1 of the matter relating to the Road Rules 2008.
