Explanatory note

Under the Road Transport (General) Regulation 2013, bodies specified as declared organisations are parking authorities and may establish parking schemes within their area of operations.

The object of this Regulation is to replace the current area of operation (Throsby Car Park and Lee Wharf
Car Park) of the Hunter Development Corporation (a declared organisation) with new areas of operation
(Lee Wharf Zone, Station Street Zone, Wickham Zone and Wright Lane Zone).

This Regulation is made under the Road Transport Act 2013, including sections 23 (the general statutory rule-making power) and 24 and clause 6 of Schedule 1.

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Road Transport (General) Amendment (Hunter Development
Corporation) Regulation 2018.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Road Transport (General) Regulation 2013

(1) Clause 3 Definitions

Insert after clause 3 (2):

(2A) In Schedule 2, public road has the same meaning as in the Roads Act
1993.
(2) Schedule 2 Declared organisations
Omit the matter in Column 2 relating to the Hunter Development Corporation.
Insert instead:
Lee Wharf Zone (being that part of Lot 1, DP 1236735 bounded by, but not including, Honeysuckle Drive, the western boundary of Lot 2, DP 1236735, land along the waterfront containing a boardwalk and zoned as public open space and Cottage Creek, excluding public roads).
Station Street Zone (being Station Street and that part of Lot 1, DP 1236735 bounded by,
but not including, the northern property boundary of Lot 100, DP 1183581, Hannell Street,
Honeysuckle Drive and Cottage Creek, excluding public roads).
Wickham Zone (being Lot 1, DP 1225922 and that part of Lot 1, DP 1236735 bounded by, but not including, Hannell Street, Honeysuckle Drive, Cottage Creek and land along the waterfront containing a boardwalk and zoned as public open space, excluding public roads).
Wright Lane Zone (being Lots 1, 2 and 3, DP 1163346; Lot 4, DP 1111305 and Lot 21,
DP 1165985, excluding public roads).
