Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to extend until 30 September 2014 the transitional period during which existing enforcement documents prepared for use under the former road transport legislation can be used under the new road transport legislation. These documents include evidentiary documents prepared for use in relation to drug and alcohol testing under Part 2 of the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999.

This Regulation is made under the Road Transport Act 2013, including section 23 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Road Transport (General) Amendment (Enforcement
Documents) Regulation 2014.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Road Transport (General) Regulation 2013

Schedule 6, clause 2 Use of certain existing enforcement documents for 15-month transitional period

Omit “12” from the definition of transitional period in clause 2 (5).
Insert instead “15”.
