His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Road Transport (General) Act 1999.

Explanatory note
The objects of this Regulation are:

(a) to prescribe certain offences under the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulation 1999 and the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) (Road Rules) Regulation 1999 as penalty notice offences, and
(b) to prescribe short descriptions for those offences and the penalties payable for those offences if dealt with by way of penalty notice.

This Regulation is made under the Road Transport (General) Act 1999, including sections 15 and 71, and takes effect on 1 July 2000.

1     Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Road Transport (General) (Short Descriptions and Penalty Notice Offences) Amendment (Graduated Licensing) Regulation 2000.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences immediately after the commencement of the Road Transport (General) (Short Descriptions and Penalty Notice Offences) Amendment Regulation 2000.

3 Amendment of Road Transport (General) (Short Descriptions and

Penalty Notice Offences) Regulation 1999

The Road Transport (General) (Short Descriptions and Penalty Notice

Offences) Regulation 1999 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

4 Notes

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.
