concurrence of the Minister for Police, the Minister for Finance, Services and Property and the
Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight, has made the following Regulation under the Road

Transport Act 2013.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to allow a participant in the digital driver licence trial under the Road
Transport Act 2013 to display the participant’s digital driver licence as evidence of the participant’s identity

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment (Use of
Digital Driver Licence) Regulation 2017.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulation 2017

Clause 125A

Insert after clause 125:

125A Additional purpose of digital driver licence trial

For the purposes of section 61B (1) (c) of the Act, allowing a participant in the digital driver licence trial to display a digital driver licence as evidence of the participant’s identity or age is prescribed as a purpose of the digital driver licence trial.
