Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulation 2008 to provide that drivers who unlawfully park in parking spaces for persons with disabilities (whether designated under the Road Rules 2014 or the Local Government Act 1993) will incur one demerit point.
This Regulation is made under the Road Transport Act 2013, including sections 23 (the general statutory rule-making power) and 32.

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment (Disability
Parking Demerit Points) Regulation 2014.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 1 December 2014 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulation 2008
