1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment (Demerit
Points) Regulation 2018.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 17 September 2018 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulation 2017

(1) Schedule 1 National schedule of demerit point offences

Omit “4” and “8” from Columns 3 and 4, respectively, in the matter relating to rule 300 of the Road Rules 2014.

Insert instead “5” and “10”.

(2) Schedule 2 Additional demerit point offences
Omit “4” and “8” from Columns 3 and 4, respectively, in the matter relating to rule 300–1 of the Road Rules 2014.
Insert instead “5” and “10”.
