Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Act 1998.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to make an amendment to the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulation 2008 that is consequential on the commencement of amendments to the Road Rules 2008 concerning the use of child restraints in motor vehicles.

This Regulation is made under the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Act 1998, including sections 15 and 19 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment
(Child Restraint Measures) Regulation 2010.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 March 2010 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulation 2008

Schedule 2 Additional demerit point offences

Omit the matter relating to rule 267–2 (1) of the Road Rules 2008.
