Road Traffic (Vehicles) Amendment Regulations 2025

Made by the deputy of the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Amendment Regulations 2025.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

• (a)

  regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

• (b)

  the rest of the regulations — on 10 January 2025.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014.

4.Part 12 Division 2 heading replaced

Delete the heading to Part 12 Division 2 and insert:

Division 2 — Authorisation to tow articulated vehicle

5.Regulations 419 to 420 deleted

Delete regulations 419 to 420.

6.Regulation 421 amended

In regulation 421:

• (a)

  delete “this Division to tow or salvage a” and insert:

   

regulation 418 to tow an articulated

 

• (b)

  in paragraph (a) delete “officer, or the Commissioner,” and insert:

   

officer

 

• (c)

  in paragraph (b) delete “removal of the vehicle and in respect of salvage and storage connected therewith, but not for the carrying out of any repair or” and insert:

   

towing of the vehicle and not

 

Note: The heading to amended regulation 421 is to read:

Extent of authorisation

7.Regulation 422 deleted

Delete regulation 422.
