Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Miscellaneous) Variation Regulations 2012.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on 1 September 2012.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

4—Variation of Schedule 9—Expiation fees

1. Schedule 9, Part 2, item relating to section 45A—delete "$775" and substitute:

   $1 000

2. Schedule 9, Part 2, item relating to section 45A—delete "$671" and substitute:

   $900

3. Schedule 9, Part 2, item relating to section 164A(1), entries relating to sections 82(1) and 83(1)(a)—delete the entries and substitute:

Exceeding the speed‑limit while passing a school bus—
by less than 10 kph	$150
by 10 kph or more but less than 20 kph	$330
by 20 kph or more but less than 30 kph	$670

Exceeding 40 kph while passing an emergency vehicle—

1. Schedule 9, Part 3, item relating to rule 20—delete the item and substitute:
