Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Miscellaneous) Variation Regulations 2003.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on 1 March 2003.

Note—

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in this regulation.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

Part 2—Variation of Road Traffic (Miscellaneous) Regulations 1999 (Gazette 25.11.1999 p 2690) as varied

4—Variation of regulation 4—Interpretation

Regulation 4—definition of speeding offence, paragraph (b)—delete "regulation 9A(1) or (2)" and substitute "regulation 9A(1), 9A(2) or 9B(1)".

5—Variation of regulation 15—Prescribed provisions for purposes of s. 79B

Regulation 15(e)—delete "regulation 9A(1) and (2)" and substitute "regulations 9A(1), 9A(2) and 9B(1)".

6—Variation of Schedule 9—Expiation Fees (Reg. 45)

Schedule 9—table in Part 5, after item relating to regulation 9A(2) of the Road Traffic (Road Rules—Ancillary and Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 1999 insert:
