Road Traffic (Licensing) Amendment

Regulations (No. 2) 2001

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Licensing)
Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2001.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation on 5 February 2001.

Road Traffic (Licensing)

After regulation 3C of the into Part II —

3D. Minimum age of applicant for issue of a licence

(1)

Except as provided in subregulation (2), the minimum age at which an individual may apply for the issue of a vehicle licence is 16 years.

(2) The minimum age at which an individual may apply for
the issue of a vehicle licence for a heavy vehicle is
18 years.
3E. Proof of age and identity of applicant for issue of a
licence

An application for the issue of a vehicle licence is to be accompanied by such proof of the applicant’s age and identity as the Director General may require.
