Licences) Amendment Regulations (No. 8) 2001.

Road Traffic (Drivers' Licences) Amendment

Regulations (No. 8) 2001

Made by the Lieutenant-Governor and deputy of the Governor in
Executive Council.

1.            Citation

8 January 2002 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 37

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation on 5 February 2002.

3.            The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Road Traffic
(Drivers' Licences) Regulations 1975*.

4.            Regulation 2 amended

Regulation 2 is amended by deleting the full stop after the definition of "seniors' health card" and inserting instead a semicolon.

5.           Regulation 4E amended

(1) Regulation 4E(1) is amended by deleting "Except as provided in
subregulation (3), an" and inserting instead —
" An ".
(2) Regulation 4E(3) is repealed.

6.            Schedule 11 amended

Schedule 11 is amended by inserting after item 5 —

First test under regulation 4E( 1)(b) in respect of a driver's licence application

23.50

7. Each additional test under regulation 4E(1)(b) in
respect of a driver's licence application 14.50

7.           Transitional

Regulation 4E(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Drivers 'Licences)
Regulations 1975 does not apply to a person —
(a) who had reached the age of 16 years on 4 February 2001; and
(b) who holds a learner's permit issued before the day on which these regulations come into operation.
