Road Traffic (Drivers' Licences) Amendment

Regulations (No. 7) 2001

Made by the deputy of the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Drivers'
Licences) Amendment Regulations (No. 7) 2001.
(a) at the end of the definition of "seniors' card" by deleting the full stop and inserting a semicolon instead;

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation on 1 July 2001.

3.            The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Road Traffic
(Drivers' Licences) Regulations 1975*.

4.            Regulation 2 amended

Regulation 2 is amended as follows:

(b) after the definition of "seniors' card" by inserting the

following definition —

44

"seniors' health card" means a Commonwealth

seniors' health card, issued by the Department of
Social Security of the Commonwealth.

5.            Regulation 15A amended

Regulation 15A(1) is repealed and the following subregulation is inserted instead —

(1) This regulation applies to a person if the Director
General is satisfied that —
(a) the person is receiving an age pension; or

(b)

the person is the holder of both a seniors' card and a seniors' health card.
