ROAD TRAFFIC (DRIVERS' LICENCES) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS (No. 3) 1997

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation

1.     These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Drivers' Licences)

Amendment Regulations (No. 3) 1997.

Commencement

2.     These regulations come into operation on the day on which the Road

Traffic Amendment Act 1997 comes into operation.

Principal regulations

3. 1975* are referred to as the principal regulations. In these regulations the Road Traffic (Drivers' Licences) Regulations

Regulation 13 amended

4.      Regulation 13 of the principal regulations is amended -

(a) substituting the following - at the foot of subregulation (1) by deleting "Penalty: $50" and

Penalty: Two penalty units (2 PU) "; and

(b) substituting the following - at the foot of subregulation (1) by deleting "Penalty: $20.00." and

Penalty: One penalty unit (1 PU) ".

Regulation 16 amended

5. Regulation 16 (2) of the principal regulations is amended -

(a) by deleting "$100.00" and substituting the following -

four penalty units (4 PU) "; and

(b) by deleting "$200.00." and substituting the following -

a

eight penalty units (8 PU). ".

Second Schedule repealed and a Schedule substituted

6.     The Second Schedule to the principal regulations is repealed and the

following Schedule is substituted -
