Road Traffic Code Amendment Regulations

(No. 6) 2000

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic Code
Amendment Regulations (No. 6) 2000.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation immediately after the their publication in the Gazette, whichever is the later.

3.             Regulation 11 amended

After regulation 11(1) of the Road Traffic Code 2000* the following subregulation is inserted —

(1a) Despite the existence of speed zones or speed limit
signs that permit higher speeds, a person who is
obliged by regulations made under the Act to display,
on a vehicle driven by him or her, plates bearing the
letter “P”, in red on a white ground, shall not drive a
vehicle at a speed exceeding 90 km/h.
