Road Traffic Code Amendment Regulations

(No. 4) 2017

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Road Traffic Code Amendment
Regulations (No. 4) 2017.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these

regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Road Traffic Code 2000.

4.             Regulation 126 amended

Delete regulation 126(2) and insert:

(2) A driver who is moving laterally from any single
marked lane (whether or not the lane is ending) or line
of traffic must give way to any vehicle travelling in the
same direction as the driver in the marked lane or line
of traffic into which the driver is moving.
Points: 3 Modified penalty: 2 PU
