Road Traffic (Charges and Fees) Amendment

Regulations (No. 2) 2006

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Road Traffic (Charges and Fees)
Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2006.

2.             The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Road Traffic
(Charges and Fees) Regulations 2006.

3.             Regulation 39 amended

Regulation 39(1) is amended by deleting “$11.50” and inserting
instead —

“ $12.10 ”.

4.             Regulation 40 amended

Regulation 40 is amended by deleting “$11.50” and inserting
instead —

“ $12.10 ”.

5.             Regulation 42 amended

(1) Regulation 42(1) is amended as follows:

(a) in paragraph (a) by deleting “$75.80;” and inserting instead —

“ $80.30; ”;

(b) in paragraph (b) by deleting “$151.60.” and inserting instead —

“ $160.60. ”.

(2) Regulation 42(2) is amended as follows:

(a) in paragraph (a) by deleting “$16.40;” and inserting instead —

“ $17.30; ”;

(b) in paragraph (b) by deleting “$33.10.” and inserting instead —

“ $35.00. ”.

6.             Regulation 47 amended

Regulation 47 is amended by deleting “Road Traffic (Drivers’
Licences) Regulations 1975.” and inserting instead —

“ Road Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 2002. ”.

7.             Regulation 49 replaced

Regulation 49 is repealed and the following regulation is
inserted instead —

“

49.           Fee payable for the grant of a class 1 permit

(1) The fee payable for the grant of a class 1 permit that is
for all journeys made in a period specified in the permit
is the greater of —

(a) if the period is —

(i)      12 months — $25; or

(ii)      36 months — $50;

and

(b) for each full month for which the permit is granted — $4 for each tonne or part of a tonne by which the relevant mass limit is permitted to be exceeded under the permit.

(2) The fee payable for the grant of a class 1 permit that is
for a journey specified in the permit and no other
journey is the greater of —

(a) $25; and

(b) one cent per tonne per kilometre (rounded to the nearest 5 cents).

”.

8.             Regulation 50 replaced

Regulation 50 is repealed and the following regulation is
inserted instead —

“

50.           Fee payable for the grant of a class 2 permit

The fee payable for the grant of a class 2 permit is —

(a)	if the permit is for 12 months — $25; or
(b)	if the permit is for 36 months — $50.

”.

9.             Regulation 51 replaced

Regulation 51 is repealed and the following regulation is
inserted instead —

“

51.           Fee payable for the grant of a class 3 permit

The fee payable for the grant of a class 3 permit is —

(a) if the permit is for —

(i)      12 months — $25; or

(ii) 36 months — $50;

and

(b) if the permit exempts a vehicle from a mass requirement, for each month or part of a month for which the permit is granted — $4 for each tonne or part of a tonne by which the relevant mass limit is permitted to be exceeded under the permit.

”.

10.           Regulation 54 amended

Regulation 54 is amended by deleting “$25.” and inserting
instead —

“ $32. ”.

11.           Regulation 56 amended

Regulation 56 is amended by deleting the Table to
subregulation (1) and inserting instead —
“
