Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive)

Amendment Regulations 2013

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive)
Amendment Regulations 2013.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — when the Road Traffic Code Amendment Regulations 2013 come into operation.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Road Traffic (Authorisation to
Drive) Regulations 2008.

4.             Regulation 3 amended

In regulation 3 insert in alphabetical order:

electric personal transporter has the meaning given in

the Road Traffic Code 2000 regulation 3(1);

electric personal transporter use area has the meaning
given in the Road Traffic Code 2000 regulation 3(1);

5.             Regulation 56 amended

In regulation 56(2):

(a) delete “are —” and insert:

are as follows —

(b) in paragraph (e)(iii) delete “Director General).” and insert:

Director General);

(c)	after paragraph (e) insert:
(f) an electric personal transporter that cannot travel at a speed exceeding 10 km/h, used only in an electric personal transporter use area.
