AN ACT to amend section five and section eighty-

four of the Road Traffic Act, 1974.

[Assented to 14th November, 1975.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Road Traffic nargItn.

referred to as the principal Act.

The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Road Traffic Act, 1974-1975.

This Act shall come into operation on a day

to be fixed by proclamation.

Section 5

Section 5 of the principal Act is amended, as to the interpretation of the term "Government road", by adding after the word "road" being the last word of that interpretation the passage "or a highway or main road to which subsection (4) of section 13 of the Main Roads Act, 1930, applies".

Section 84

Section 84 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "main road or controlled-access road", in line seven, and substituting the words "highway or main road".
