Road Safety (Vehicles) Amendment (Taxi Services Commission) Regulations 2013

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009 to include references to the Taxi Services Commission.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2013.

4Vehicle Standards Definitions

In clause 3 of Schedule 2 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009[1]—

(a)insert the following definition—

"Taxi Services Commission means the body established under Division 3 of Part 5 of the Transport Integration Act 2010;";

(b)in the definition of transport enforcement vehicle, for "or an employee in the Department of Transport" substitute ", an employee of the Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure or a person who is employed in the Taxi Services Commission".
