Road Safety (Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objectives

The objectives of these Regulations are—

(a)	to clarify the procedure for issuing notices of unroadworthiness; and
(b)	registration, tester's licences, certificates of

to increase certain fees relating to vehicle and searches and extracts of records.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3. Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 April
1998.

4. Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Road Safety (Vehicles)
Regulations 19881 are called the Principal

Regulations.

5. Notices of unroadworthiness

In regulation 602(2) of the Principal Regulations, for "unless the member or the Corporation" substitute "unless the person".

6. Amendment of fees

(1) In Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations—

(a) in item 1, for "11.00" substitute "11.50";
(b) in item 2, for "76.00" substitute "80.00";
(c) in item 4, for "29.00" substitute "30.50";
(d) in item 5, for "118.50" substitute "124.00";
(e) in item 7, for "70.50" substitute "74.00";
(f) in item 8, for "28.50" substitute "30.00";
(g) in item 11, for "74.00" substitute "78.00";
