The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

PART 1—PRELIMINARY MATTERS

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to make various changes as a result of the coming into operation of sections 10 and 11 of the Transport (Amendment) Act 1998.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under section 95 of
the Road Safety Act 1986 and section 162 of the

Transport Act 1983.

PART 2—AMENDMENTS TO THE ROAD SAFETY

(PROCEDURES) REGULATIONS 1988

3. Changes concerning traffic infringements

In Schedule 6 to the Road Safety (Procedures)

Regulations 19881—

(a) for the item relating to Code 2471

substitute—

"2471	Touting or attempting	TA 158A	2000";
to induce passenger to hire

(b) the item relating to Code 2479 is revoked;

(c) after the item relating to Code 2483 insert—

"2484 Unauthorised TA 158(1) 2000

operating (vehicle with seating capacity of not more than 12)

2485	Unauthorised	TA 158(1)	100".
operating (any other vehicle)

REGULATIONS 1994

4. Revocation of former touting offence

Regulation 23 of the Transport (Taxi-Cabs)

Regulations 19942 is revoked.
