Regulations 2001
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (General) Regulations 1999 to increase certain penalties for pedestrians, riders of animals and bicycles, and users of wheeled recreational devices who disobey the Road Rules.
2. Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.
3. Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 27 May
2001.

In Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (General)
Regulations 19991—
(a)
in the entries in respect of Codes 2221 and 2224 to 2238, for "20" substitute "50";
(b)
in the entries in respect of Codes 2241 to 2249, for "15" substitute "50";
(c)
in the entries in respect of Codes 2529 to 2532, for "20" substitute "50";
(d)
in the entries in respect of Codes 2551 to 2555, for "15" substitute "50";
(e)
in the entry in respect of Code 2222, for "20" substitute "165";
(f)
for the entry in respect of Code 2223 substitute—
"2223 Fail to obey RR 34(1), 36, 50";
