Road Safety (Driving Instructors) Amendment Regulations 2018
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Driving Instructors) Regulations 2010—
(a)to make amendments consequential to the enactment of the Transport Integration Amendment (Head, Transport for Victoria and Other Governance Reforms) Act 2017; and
(b)to make other miscellaneous amendments.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.
3Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Road Safety (Driving Instructors) Regulations 2010[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
4Objectives of the Principal Regulations amended
In regulation 1(c) of the Principal Regulations, for "member of the police force" substitute "police officer".
5Definitions
In regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations, in the definition of authorised person, for "the Secretary" substitute "the Head, Transport for Victoria".
6Application for driving instructor authority
In regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations, for "Secretary" (wherever occurring) substitute "Head, Transport for Victoria".
7Secretary must issue holder's identity photograph
(1)In the heading to regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations, for "Secretary" substitute "Head, Transport for Victoria".
(2)In regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations, for "Secretary" (where twice occurring) substitute "Head, Transport for Victoria".
8Conditions concerning authority
In regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations, for "Secretary" (wherever occurring) substitute "Head, Transport for Victoria".
9Return of authority or identity photograph upon cancellation
In regulation 10 of the Principal Regulations, for "Secretary" substitute "Head, Transport for Victoria".
