Road Safety (Drivers) (Fees Amendment) Regulations 2007

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999—

(a)to convert driver licence fees to fee units;

(b)to increase certain fees by 2×5%.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2007.

4Conversion to fee units

In Schedule 2 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999[1]––

(a)in item 1, for "$146.00" substitute "13×57 fee units";

(b)in item 2, for "$43.00" substitute "3×99 fee units".

5General fees increased

In Schedule 2 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999—

(a)in item 3, for "$23.00" substitute "$23.50";

(b)in item 4, for "$10.60" substitute "$10.80";

(c)in item 5, for "$18.10" substitute "$18.50";

(d)in item 7, for "$10.60" substitute "$10.80";

(e)in item 8(a), for "$36.30" substitute "$37.20";

(f)in item 8(b), for "$33.20" substitute "$34.00";

(g)in item 9(a), for "$15.00" substitute "$15.30";

(h)in item 9(b), for "$13.80" substitute "$14.10";

(i)in items 10 and 11, for "$18.10" substitute "$18.50";

(j)in item 12, for "$15.00" substitute "$15.30".

6Search and extract fees increased

In Schedule 3 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999—

(a)in items 1, 2, 4 and 5(a), for "$7.50" substitute "$7.60";

(b)in items 3 and 5(b), for "$14.20" substitute "$14.50".
