Road Safety (Drivers) and (Vehicles) Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2023

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

PART 1—PRELIMINARY

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2019 and the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2021 to increase certain fees expressed in dollar amounts by the indexation amount.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2023.

PART 2—ROAD SAFETY (DRIVERS) REGULATIONS 2019

4Schedule 7—Search and extract fees

In Schedule 7 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2019[1]—

(a)in item 1, for "$9.95" substitute "$10.35";

(b)in item 2, for "$9.95" substitute "$10.35".

PART 3—ROAD SAFETY (VEHICLES) REGULATIONS 2021

5Schedule 2—Concessional fees for registration and renewal of registration

In item 2 of the Table in Schedule 2 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2021[2], for "$9.55" substitute "$9.95".

6Schedule 4—Miscellaneous fees

In Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2021—

(a)in item 19, for "$5.05" substitute "$5.25";

(b)in item 20, for "$4.25" substitute "$4.40";

(c)in item 21(d), for "$6.70" substitute "$6.95";

(d)in item 34, for "$3.25" substitute "$3.40".
