Road Safety (Drivers) and (General) Amendment (Alcohol Interlocks) Amendment Regulations 2015

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Drivers) and (General) Amendment (Alcohol Interlocks) Regulations 2014 to clarify the classes of persons who are eligible for—

(a)concessional rates to assist with the cost of installation and regular maintenance of an approved alcohol interlock; and

(b)concessional rates for the prescribed monthly cost recovery fee that will be payable by persons required to install an approved alcohol interlock in a motor vehicle.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Fees

In regulation 13 of the Road Safety (Drivers) and (General) Amendment (Alcohol Interlocks) Regulations 2014[1], in proposed regulation 111A(3)(b) of the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009, for "issued under section 1061ZS" substitute "within the meaning".
