Act No. 145, 1979.
An Act to repeal the Road Maintenance (Contribution) Act, 1958, the Road Maintenance (Contribution) Amendment Act, 1964, and the Road Maintenance (Contribution) Amend ment Act, 1978; and to make amendments of a consequential nature to certain other Acts. [Assented to, 7th December, 1979.]

Road Maintenance (Contribution) Repeal.
BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—
1. This Act may be cited as the “Road Maintenance short title.
(Contribution) Repeal Act, 1979”.
2. The Road Maintenance (Contribution) Act, 1958, the Road Repeal of
Maintenance (Contribution) Amendment Act, 1964, and the Road
| Maintenance (Contribution) Amendment Act, 1978, are repealed. Act No. 26, | 1964, and |
| Act No. 119, 1978. |
3. Each Act specified in Column 1 of Schedule 1 is amended Amendment
in the manner specified opposite that Act in Column 2 of Schedule
1. ’
4. Notwithstanding the repeal, by section 3, of clause 2 (3) Saving,
of Schedule 4 to the Motor Vehicles (Taxation) Act, 1976, the amount applicable under that Schedule in respect of a motor vehicle that is a vehicle to which the Road Maintenance (Contribution) Act, 1958, applied immediately before the date of assent to this Act and was not a primary producer’s vehicle is, where the registra tion or renewal of registration is effected for a period of 1 year commencing on or after that date of assent and on or before 31st December, 1979, an amount that would have been applicable' in respect of the vehicle if this Act had not been enacted.
