Act No. 63, 1993

An Act to amend the Road Improvement (Special Funding) Act 1989 to increase the rate at which petroleum product licence fees are payable. [Assented to 9 November 1993]

Road Improvement (Special Funding) Amendment Act 1993 No. 63

The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Road Improvement (Special Funding)

Amendment Act 1993.

Commencement

2. This Act commences or is taken to have commenced on 1 October

1993.

Amendment of Road Improvement (Special Funding) Act 1989
No. 95

3. The Road Improvement (Special Funding) Act 1989 is amended as

set out in Schedule 1.

SCHEDULE l—AMENDMENTS

(Sec. 3)

( 1) Long title:

Omit “for 3 years”.

(2) Section 4 (Increased petroleum licence fees):

(a)

From section 4 (2E), omit “1 September 1995”, insert instead “ 1 November 1993”.

(b) After section 4 (2E), insert:

(2F) For the purposes of section 40 (Fees) of the Licensing Act, the prescribed proportion referred to in subsection (3) of that section is, in respect of a fee for a licence taking effect on or after 1 November 1993 and before 1 September 1995, increased:

(a)

from 9.3 per cent to 16.77 per cent in respect of motor spirit; and

(b)

from 15.48 per cent to 27.77 per cent in respect of diesel fuel.
