. AN ACT for the closure of portions of certain roads and

rights of way and other purposes.

[Assented to 26th October, 1949.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1.    This Act may be cited as the Road Closure Act, Short title.

(1) All that portion of Macauley Street in the Closureof

is hereby closed, and all rights of way over that portion

shall cease on the passing of this Act.

(2) The land contained in that portion of Macauley Street which is closed by the operation of the last pre- ceding subsection is hereby revested in His Majesty as of His former estate, with the intention that it be granted in fee simple to the State Housing Commission.

low water mark of the eastern shore of Mel- ville Water situate in prolongation westerly of the southern side of Cale Street and extending easterly along that prolongation about 63 links; thence 185 degrees 37 minutes 420 and 4 tenths links, 161 degrees 9 minutes 233 and 1 tenth links, 136 degrees 44 minutes 334 and 7 tenths links, 127 degrees 35 minutes 188 links, and 217 degrees 35 minutes to the low water mark of the Canning River; and thence generally north- westerly and northerly downwards along that low water mark and onwards to the starting point,

is hereby closed, and all rights of way over it shall cease

on the passing of this Act.

(2) The land contained in that portion of Melville Parade which is closed by the operation of the last pre- ceding subsection is hereby revested in His Majesty as of His former estate with the intention that it be pro- claimed a Reserve for Recreation and classified as of Class "A."

7.    (1) All that portion of East Parade in the City of pcormiggl

is hereby revested in His Majesty as of His former estate with the intention that the Governor may grant the land to the City of Perth for an estate in fee simple.

is hereby closed, and all rights of way over it shall cease

on the passing of this Act.

(2) The land contained in that portion of Road No. 3324, which is closed by the operation of the last preced- ing subsection, is hereby revested in His Majesty as of His former estate, with the intention that it be reserved as a site for a hall.
