s1 2 s4 River Improvement Trust Amendment (No. 1) No. 428, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the River Improvement Trust Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1996 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the RiverImprovementTrustRegulation 1987 . ˙ Amendment of s 6 (Payments to members) 3. Section 6(4), ‘$6 000.00’— omit, insert— ‘$15 000.00’. ˙ Insertion of new pt 2A 4. After part 2— insert— ‘ PART 2A—RIVER IMPROVEMENT AREAS AND TRUSTS ˙ ‘ Cairns river improvement area and trust ‘ 6A.(1) The Mulgrave Shire river improvement area, constituted under the order in council made on 16 September 1972 and published in the gazette at page 288, and the Mulgrave Shire river improvement trust constituted for the area under the same order in council are continued in existence under this regulation. ‘ (2) The area comprises the whole of the local government area of Cairns City Council. ‘ (3) The name of the river improvement area is changed to Cairns river improvement area. ‘ (4) The name of the trust for the river improvement area is changed to Cairns river improvement trust.

s4 3 s4 River Improvement Trust Amendment (No. 1) No. 428, 1996 ˙ ‘ Ipswich rivers improvement area and trust ‘ 6B.(1) The Bremer river improvement area, constituted under the order in council made on 15 August 1959 and published in the gazette at page 2 309, and the Bremer river improvement trust constituted for the area under the same order in council are continued in existence under this regulation. ‘ (2) The area comprises the whole of the local government area of Ipswich City Council. ‘ (3) The name of the river improvement area is changed to Ipswich rivers improvement area. ‘ (4) The name of the trust for the river improvement area is changed to Ipswich rivers improvement trust. ˙ ‘ Rosenthal Shire river improvement area ‘ 6C.(1) The Rosenthal Shire river improvement area, constituted under the order in council made on 28 August 1976 and published in the gazette at page 2 185, and the Rosenthal Shire river improvement trust constituted for the area under the same order in council are continued in existence under this regulation. ‘ (2) The area comprises the whole of the local government areas of Rosenthal Shire Council and Warwick City Council as they were immediately before the commencement of the Local Government (Allora,Glengallan, Rosenthal and Warwick) Regulation 1994 , section 5. 1 ˙ ‘ Whitsunday rivers improvement area and trust ‘ 6D.(1) The Proserpine river improvement area, constituted under the order in council made on 23 May 1974 and published in the gazette at page 622, and the Proserpine river improvement trust constituted for the area under the same order in council are continued in existence under this regulation. 1 Section 5 (Abolition of existing areas) The boundaries of the area are shown on a plan bearing catalogue number SC 49, a copy of which may be inspected at the office of the Department of Local Government and Planning, Brisbane.

s5 4 s5 River Improvement Trust Amendment (No. 1) No. 428, 1996 ‘ (2) The area comprises the whole of the local government area of Whitsunday Shire Council. ‘ (3) The name of the river improvement area is changed to Whitsunday rivers improvement area. ‘ (4) The name of the trust for the river improvement area is changed to Whitsunday rivers improvement trust.’. ˙ Repeals 5. The following instruments are repealed— • order in council made on 15 August 1959 and published in the gazette at page 2 309, constituting the Bremer river improvement area and the Bremer river improvement trust for the area • order in council made on 16 September 1972 and published in the gazette at page 288, constituting the Mulgrave Shire river improvement area and the Mulgrave Shire river improvement trust for the area • order in council made on 23 May 1974 and published in the gazette at page 622, constituting the Proserpine Shire river improvement area and the Proserpine Shire river improvement trust for the area • order in council made on 28 August 1976 and published in the gazette at page 2 185, constituting the Rosenthal Shire river improvement area and the Rosenthal Shire river improvement trust for the area • order in council made on 22 April 1989 and published in the gazette at page 2 388, changing the names of the Proserpine Shire river improvement area and trust to the Whitsunday Shire river improvement area and the Whitsunday Shire river improvement trust respectively • order in council made on 4 November 1989 and published in the gazette at page 1 706, changing the names of the Whitsunday Shire river improvement area and trust to the Proserpine river improvement area and the Proserpine river improvement trust respectively.
