AN ACT to amend the Rights in Water and Irrigation

Aet, 1914-1945.

[Assented to 14th September, 1949.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1.    This Act may be cited as the Rights in Water and Short title.

Irrigation Act Amendment Act, 1949, and shall be read

as one with the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act, 1914-1945 (Act No. 19 of 1914 reprinted with amend- ments to and including No. 32 of 1941 incorporated pur- suant to the Amendments Incorporation Act, 1933, in volume 2 of the Reprinted Acts of the Parliament of Western Australia, 1943, and further amended by No. 3 of 1945), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2. The principal Act as amended by this Act may be Citatio n of psrianotAdct

cited as the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act, 1914-	ty this Act.

Amendment of

3. Section twenty-nine of the principal Act is s. 29.

amended by adding the following paragraphs	Cf. No. 26 or1947. as. 2
and 3. and a.

(h)	divide any district into sub-areas;	40 (3) post.
(i)	define the boundaries of any sub-area;
(j)	alter the boundaries of any sub-area;

(k) abolish a sub-area.
