    An Act to prohibit the Unauthorized Wearing of Membership Badges issued by the Returned Sailors’, Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Imperial League of Australia

    Short title

    1.  This Act may be cited as the Returned Servicemen’s Badges Act 1960.1

    Interpretation

    2.  In this Act, “the League” means the Returned Sailors’ Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Imperial League of Australia.

    Unauthorised wearing of R.S.L. badge

    3.  (1)  A person shall not wear a badge issued by the League unless he is the person to whom the badge was issued.

    (2)  A person to whom a badge has been issued by the League shall not wear the badge if that person is not entitled, under the Rules of the League, to wear the badge.

    Penalty:  Fifty dollars.

    NOTE

    1.  The Returned Servicemen’s Badges Act 1960 as shown in this reprint comprises Act No. 10, 1960 amended as indicated in the Tables below.

    Citation of Laws—The Self-Government (Citation of Laws) Act 1989  (No. 21, 1989) altered the citation of most Ordinances so that after Self-Government day they are to be cited as Acts.  That Act also affects references in ACT laws to Commonwealth Acts.
