An Act to alter the name of the bodyj corporate constituted by the Returned Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen's Imperial League of Australia (New South Wales Branch) Incorporation Act, 1935- 1941; for this and other purposes to amend that Act; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 25th September, 1967.]

D E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by " and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: —

(1) This Act may be cited as the "Returned Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen's Imperial League of Australia (New South Wales Branch) Incorporation Amendment Act, 1967".

(2) The Returned Sailors and Soldiers' Imperial League of Australia (New South Wales Branch) Incorpora­ tion Act, 1935, as amended by subsequent Acts, is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

(3) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Returned Services League of Australia (New South Wales Branch) Incorporation Act, 1935-1967.

2. The Principal Act is amended by inserting next after section 3 A the following new section :—

3B. (1) As from the commencement of the Returned Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen's Imperial League of Australia (New South Wales Branch) Incorporation Amendment Act, 1967—

(a)	the name of the body corporate constituted by section three of this Act shall be "The Returned Services League of Australia (New South Wales Branch)";
(b)	a reference in any Act or other instrument to The Returned Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen's Imperial League of Australia (New South Wales Branch) shall be read and construed as a reference to The Returned Services League of Australia (New South Wales Branch).

(2) Nothing contained in subsection one of this section shall prejudice or affect in any way the continuity of the body corporate constituted by section three of this Act, but the same shall continue notwithstanding the provisions of that subsection.

(3) The alteration of name effected by sub­ section one of this section—

(a)	shall not prejudice or affect the continuity of the body corporate constituted by section three of this Act;
(b)	shall not affect any property, powers, rights, authorities, duties, functions, liabilities or obligations of the said body corporate, or render defective any legal or other proceedings instituted or to be instituted by or against the said body corporate.

Any legal or other proceedings may be continued or commenced by or against the corporation by the name of The Returned Services League of Australia (New South Wales Branch) that might have been continued or commenced by or against the corporation by the name of The Returned Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen's Imperial League of Australia (New South Wales Branch).

The Principal Act is further amended by omitting from clause four of the Schedule the words "for on on behalf" and

by inserting in lieu thereof the words "for or on behalf". SUPPLY
